Your Abilities

Let's now turn to an assessment of Jan's abilities -- using the Management and Professional Abilities Profile -- and review the implications for choosing different business careers in which she is likely to be successful.

Just as the Management and Professional Reward Profile asks you to answer a series of "forced choice" comparison questions about your reward values, the MPAP asks you to answer questions about your abilities (e.g. Are you stronger in working as part of a team or thinking creatively? Projecting confidence or taking initiative? Relative to your peers are you stronger or weaker on each of the abilities?). In this way the MPAP helps you to organize your thinking about your abilities, both as you compare to other people and in terms of which of your abilities are stronger than others -- regardless of how they compare to those of others.

Now let's review a segment of the MPAP test.
